International Programs

Promotions & Activities The USAEC conducts promotion programs around the world - Western Europe, Central America, Mexico, Canada, Taiwan, and Russia. The council is constantly exploring and starting other activities in other potential markets. Right now, the USAEC has started activities and market development exploration in India, Southeast Asia, India and Brazil. The USDA funds promotions to promote USAEC apple exports generically.

Trade Shows
Members of the USAEC attempt to attend a number of international trade shows each year in order to explore more opportunities overseas. In the past year, the USAEC has been represented at Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong (September 2008), at the Produce Marketing Association Fresh Summit trade show in Orlando, FL (October 2008), and at ANTAD in Mexico (March 2009). The USAEC also has had a booth and a growing presence at the Fruit Logistica - Europe trade show, held each year in Berlin. Through overseas representatives, the USAEC has had some presence at other smaller regional trade shows.

In the 2009-2010 season, the USAEC will be have a display at:

• World Food
